This stunning 1961 Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Coupe Aerodinamico by Pininfarina is on sale through RM Sotheby's Private Sales, one of the only 17 Superamerica SWB. Pure beauty...
History of the Ferrari 400 Superamerica
The 400 Superamerica was produced between 1960 and 1964 with a design by Pininfarina for all the models (spider, cabriolet and aerodynamic coupé). It was the successors to the 410 Superamerica (produced from 1955 to 1959).
And with its name, Ferrari didn't follow the tradition for a road car, the type number wasn't denoting the swept volume of a single cylinder but the total cubic capacity of 4 litres. The 400 Superamerica was an exceptional car and reamins one of the most celebrated Ferrari ever built.
The model Coupe Aerodinamico for the 400 Superamerica was presented by Pininfarina on their stand at the Turin Salon in November 1960. Futhermore, this example receveid Classiche certification, confirming that it retains its original chassis, engine, gearbox, and differential.

Technical specification
The 3,967 cc V12 engine with three Weber 46 DCF/3 carburettors delivered 340 hp at 7,000 rpm for a top speed 265 kmh.
It was finished in Blu Lancia over a beautiful leather interior with matching carpets. A beauty (but I repeat myself :-) )...
