Eye of Art #3 : Constance Guisset

A weekly series to share my art discovery with first the work that caught my eye...

Today is not about art (painting, sculpture...) but design. Is design an art form ? For me, without a doubt, yes. And for you ? To demonstrate my point of view, here is French designer, Constance Guisset with her last exhibition Actio at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris...

Lamp Cap, 2014, Edition Moustache

I love this suspended lamp, in black, its looks like a floating and bright Dark Vador's mask. In white, it's completely different, more gentle and subtle. And it's no so expensive. It's own goal of Constance Guisset about her products, she wants that they're accessible to all. On Moustache site

WHAT

In her last exhibition Actio at Musée d'Arts Décoratifs (Paris), I re-discovered this designer with her influences, ethics, new works and collaborators. As the artist Laurent Derobert with the room Ravir (Delight), mathematical interpretation of the lamp Vertigo.

For her influences, Harry Potter is often present, the name of the exhibition Actio or especially with the lamp Levitia with a levitating switch... I love it, only 20 examples. Her dream is to create a chair without foot, in levitation. I hope so...
