This series is only to share my art discovery with first the work that caught my eye...
Javier Gavilanes, Casita Colores, 2015
WHO
Javier Gavilanes is Ecuadorian artist from Guayaquil. He began art only in his thirties after getting sick because of his previous work, masonry and carpentry. His most recent work, Percepciones entrecruzadas, was rewarded with the first prize of the Julio Salon of Guayaquil 2017.
Percepciones entrecruzadas, diptych, 300 x 110 cm.
WHAT
This is with his exposition at the Galería Mirador de la Universidad Católica (Guayaquil, Ecuador), Vestigio, that I was interested in his work, especially with Casita Colores and Rectangulo.
Rectangulo
I like the mix of color and geometric shapes.

And I was thinking to send an email to the artist to join us on Steemit, explaining the benefits of the platform. It would be great to bring together a large artistic community to share, discover, open our minds on other cultures, expand our horizons... What do you think ?
