Siempre me han gustado mucho los animales, incluso desde pequeña he tenido varias mascotas que en su mayoría han sido perritos a todos los he amado y en definitiva dedicado una parte de mí, hoy les quiero hablar sobre una pequeña extensión de amor que desde hace varios me acompaña, mi bebé peluda Pamela. Este nombre es algo peculiar y poco común en un perrito pero al momento de llegar a mis brazos ya tenía ese nombre y decidimos dejárselo. > I have always loved animals, even since I was a little girl I have had several pets, most of them have been puppies, I have loved them all and definitely dedicated a part of me, today I want to talk about a small extension of love that has been with me for several years, my furry baby Pamela. This name is something peculiar and uncommon in a puppy but when she arrived to my arms she already had that name and we decided to give it to her.

Llegó a mi vida el 14 de febrero del 2014 gracias a un compañero que estudiaba conmigo porque días anteriores, al salir del colegio, habíamos ido a hacer un compartir en su casa, resulta que su mascota había dado a luz a 6 preciosos cachorritos, ya tenían aproximadamente 3 meses por lo que se la pasaban jugando entre ellos y con quién se atravesara, parecían unos algodones con patitas jajaja, ahí fue la primera vez que la vi y le dije a la mamá de mi amigo que me la diera en adopción a lo que ella respondió que aún no querían dar a los perritos pero yo seguí insistiendo hasta que un día mi amigo nos dice (a mí y dos amigas) "vamos para la casa a buscar a la perrita que te la voy a regalar" creo que nunca había caminado tan rápido a casa de mi amigo como esa vez. Recuerdo llegar a mi casa, sudada, con mi perrita y una sonrisa de punta a punta. La verdad es que en mi casa ya había un perrito de la misma raza llamado "Azabache" porque era negrito que pertenecía a mí tía (aunque parecía más mío) por lo que cuando mi mamá me vio llegar con Pamela se quedó mirandome con cara de "Estás loca", pero antes de darnos cuenta Pame ya había hecho lugar en nuestro corazón llenando un vacío que no sabíamos que existía.

She came into my life on February 14, 2014 thanks to a classmate who was studying with me because days before, after leaving school, we had gone to share at his house, it turns out that his pet had given birth to 6 beautiful puppies, they were about 3 months old so they were playing with each other and with whoever they came across, they looked like cotton balls with little paws hahaha, That was the first time I saw her and I told my friend's mom to give her to me for adoption to which she replied that they still didn't want to give the puppies but I kept insisting until one day my friend told us (me and two friends) "let's go to the house to look for the puppy I'm going to give her to you" I think I had never walked so fast to my friend's house as that time. I remember arriving home, sweaty, with my dog and a smile from one end to the other. The truth is that in my house there was already a dog of the same breed called "Azabache" because he was black and belonged to my aunt (although he looked more like mine) so when my mom saw me arrive with Pamela she looked at me with a "You are crazy" face, but before we knew it Pame had already made a place in our hearts filling a void that we didn't know existed.

Pero lamentablemente al mes de estar con nosotros, pamela estaba jugando con azabache en las escaleras de la casa y se cayó hasta planta baja, recuerdo que fueron los 10 minutos más desesperantes que he tenido, ella lloraba mucho, se orino y se hizo pupu encima, yo no tenía idea de que hacer, estaba sola en casa y lo único que hice fue esperar que ella se calmara en mis brazos, le lave en donde se había orinado y llamé a mi mamá. Me dijo que se tardaría como dos horas más en llegar pero que no dejará sola a la perrita, ya no presentaba dolor pero al caminar arrastraba sus patas traseras, no podía mantenerlas firmes y menos apoyarse para caminar con ellas. Cuando mis papás llegaron, inmediatamente la llevamos a un señor que es veterinario y vivía cerca de la casa de mi abuela, Él le inyectó algo para que relajara un poco sus músculos porque estaba tensa, nos dijo que debíamos llevarla a hacerse una radiografía y eso hicimos, nos dimos cuenta que al parecer se hacía de sus necesidades sin darse cuenta y decidimos ponerle pañal para evitar que siempre se ensuciara tanto, al otro día la llevamos a un centro veterinario donde nos informaron donde podíamos hacer eso y mientras le recetaron vitaminas. Así pasaron algunas semanas hasta que finalmente sucedió, desde que mi papá le había hecho la silla de ruedas le había usado un total de 2 veces porque no se adaptaba bien y pero 10 minutos antes de volver a hacer el intento, comenzó a caminar con todas sus patas, fue el sentimiento más lindo que he vivido, volverla a ver caminando completamente, nos había pasado anteriormente que daba algunos pasos y se le caían las patitas y por eso mi mamá, mi papá y yo nos quedamos mirando fijamente a la perrita esperando a ver si se le caían las patitas y gracias a Dios no sucedió.

But unfortunately, after a month of being with us, Pamela was playing with Azabache on the stairs of the house and she fell downstairs, I remember those were the most desperate 10 minutes I have ever had, she was crying a lot, she peed and pooped all over herself, I had no idea what to do, I was alone at home and the only thing I did was wait for her to calm down in my arms, I washed her where she peed and called my mom. She told me that it would take about two more hours to arrive but not to leave the dog alone, she was no longer in pain but when she walked she was dragging her hind legs, she could not keep them steady and even less support herself to walk with them. When my parents arrived, we immediately took her to a man who is a veterinarian and lived near my grandmother's house, he injected her with something to relax her muscles a little because she was tense, he told us that we should take her to have an x-ray and that's what we did, we realized that apparently she was doing her needs without realizing it and we decided to put a diaper on her to avoid her always getting so dirty, the next day we took her to a veterinary center where they told us where we could do that and while they prescribed her vitamins. That's how some weeks passed until it finally happened, since my dad had made her the wheelchair she had used it a total of 2 times because she didn't adapt well and 10 minutes before trying again, she started to walk with all her paws, it was the nicest feeling I have ever experienced, to see her walking completely, it had happened to us before that she would take some steps and her paws would fall off and that's why my mom, my dad and I kept staring at the dog waiting to see if her paws would fall off and thank God it didn't happen.

1 año y medio después de este suceso tuvo su primera camada de perritos con azabache, 3 hembras y un macho, a los cuales dimos en adopción (darlos en adopción fue regalar un pedacito de mi corazón en cada uno), lamentablemente meses después nuestro querido azabache se mudó al cielo dejando a pamela y a todos nosotros con el corazón roto.

1 year and a half after this event she had her first litter of puppies with jet, 3 females and a male, which we gave up for adoption (giving them up for adoption was giving a little piece of my heart in each one), unfortunately months later our beloved jet moved to heaven leaving pamela and all of us with a broken heart.

Pamela ha tenido una vida bastante normal y feliz, a jugado, paseado, corrido y viajado tal y como lo haría una perrita normal, a veces cuando corre mucho o está cansada se le caen por un segundo las patitas, pero la acomodo o la cargo y nada paso jaja, a pesar de que ha mejorado no controla en un 100% su esfínter y por eso aún le pongo pañal en ciertas ocasiones, actualmente esta conmigo en la ciudad donde estudio y puedo decir que no he conseguido una amiga más fiel que mi pamela, todos las mañanas entra a mi cuarto a darme los buenos días y cuando la puerta está totalmente cerrada le da con la garrita para que yo le abra.

Pamela has had a quite normal and happy life, she has played, walked, run and traveled just as a normal dog would, sometimes when she runs a lot or is tired her legs fall off for a second, but I put her back or carry her and nothing happens jaja, even though she has improved she does not control her sphincter 100% and that is why I still put a diaper on her on certain occasions, She is currently with me in the city where I study and I can say that I have not found a more faithful friend than my pamela, every morning she comes into my room to say good morning and when the door is completely closed she gives her little paw for me to open it for her.

_{Pamela y yo | Pamela and me} --- Ya mi bebé tiene 7 años conmigo y me hace llorar el solo pensar el día que me falten los ladridos cuando salgo y no la llevo o esa fuente de calor peludita cuando nos dormimos juntas, quería hacer un post corto pero creo que no me alcanza para decir cómo ha cambiado mi vida tener a pamela teniendo en cuenta las responsabilidades que conlleva.

My baby is already 7 years old with me and it makes me cry just thinking about the day I will miss her barking when I go out and I don't take her or that furry source of warmth when we sleep together, I wanted to make a short post but I don't think I have enough to say how having Pamela has changed my life taking into account the responsibilities it entails.
