I found this mural on the stairs from the harbour up to Cerro Conceptión. On the first view and as well through the perspective how I shot this mural, it looks kind of aggressive, even psycho maniac how the guy stares, a bit like a ghoule. And the red color is as well alarming. But if you look closer you can see that the guy is actually relaxed, calm and even friendly. More important he is holding a litte string with some pigeons attached. He is taking them for a walk. Or for a fly. Pigeons are a symbol for peace and freedom. On the one hand. On the other hand it´s still confusing, because he is holding them captured and they are not flying around freely. As well it looks a bit like he is kyteflying with this pigeons and dragging and pulling them his way. Like a colossos who caught the little birds. The red color and the way how the shadow is created just gives him a creepy look. What do you think wanted the artist create there? Or what do you see in the painting? Write me your opinions in the comments.
