It's been a long time since I talked about Waxhead and Cryote, two artists who like to work together. When there is a work of one, there is not far a work of the other. Very beautiful complementarity between these two artists. We find them behind the restaurant Chez José on Duluth Avenue in Montreal. Last spring, they finished the wall at the back.
Cela faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas parlé de Waxhead et Cryote, deux artistes aimant travailler ensemble. Quand il y a une oeuvre de l'un, il y a pas loin une oeuvre de l'autre. Très belle complémentarité entre ses deux artistes. On les retrouve donc derrière le restaurant Chez José sur l'avenue Duluth à Montréal. Au printemps dernier, ils ont fini le mur qui se trouve à l'arrière.
The work presented today is behind this wall (towards the red car on the right). The wall facing Hôtel de Ville Avenue was done by Jonah John McLauchlan aka JonahJBais (see my post CCC's Street Art Contest #36: JonahJBais, Montreal ) And a little reminder don't forget to participate to the CCC's Street Art Contest #79.

On Duluth avenue on the wall of the restaurant Chez José and the other work is on Rachel Street not far away on the wall of another restaurant Pitarifique, Montreal, Canada.
Sur l'avenue Duluth, sur le mur du restaurant Chez José et l'autre œuvre se trouve sur la rue Rachel, non loin de là, sur le mur d'un autre restaurant Pitarifique.

WHO
After doing the front of the restaurant on Duluth Avenue a few years ago, the two artists found a new space to paint at the back of the building in the parking lot. I took advantage of a day without trash (rather rare as it's the door of the kitchens that you see) to take some pictures of this wall.
Après avoir fait la façade du restaurant donnant sur l'avenue Duluth il y a quelques années, les deux comparses ont trouvé un nouvel espace à peinturer à l'arrière du bâtiment dans le stationnement. J'ai profité d'une journée sans poubelle (plutôt rare comme c'est la porte des cuisines qu'on aperçoit) pour prendre quelques photos de ce mur.
Waxhead
Many posts about these two artists, you can find the list of all my previous posts on Street Art #453. Short biography... Born in Toronto, Waxhead is street-artist and creature creator now based in Montreal. His style is quite unique, very coloured and detailed. His nickname comes from when younger he painted a dripping head on his school books, Waxhead was born.
Beaucoup de posts sur ces deux artistes, vous pouvez retrouver la liste de mes posts précédents sur Street Art #453. Mais voici quand même une courte bio de Waxhead. Né à Toronto, c'est un artiste et un créateur de créatures. Son style est assez unique et très reconnaissable. Son surnom lui vient de l'école quand il dessinait des têtes dégoulinantes.
Cryote
Sebastien Millar aka Cryote is a street-artist from Ottawa now based in Montreal. He's closed to the 203 crew. As you can see, he works often with his friend Waxhead.
Sebastien Millar aka Cryote est un artiste d'Ottawa maintenant installé à Montréal. Membre du collectif 203, il travaille souvent avec ami Waxhead comme vous pouvez le constater.
Je vous présente un autre mur qu'ils ont peint à peu près à la même période au printemps dernier. Elle se situe non loin de là au coin du boulevard Saint Laurent et de la rue Rachel. On reconnait de suite leur style 😀
