Here my entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #35 with an old but still amazing mural done by Stare, Tchug and Zek in 2011 :
I was too slow to take a picture of this work done more than 10 years ago. Now, the building is starting to lose bricks and protections have been installed. Too bad you can't admire this work in its entirety. But as the French proverb says "vaut mieux tard que jamais / better late than never" 😀.
This stunning mural is a collaboration between three artists Stare, Tchug and Zek.
Zek (with the bottom lettering) is street artist based in Montreal. He started graffiti in 1993 and still doing it with the collective Ashop. Huge influence on the Montreal street art scene with his lettering and photorealism works.
The King Robot was done by François Leandre aka Tchug, artist also based in Montreal.
And the second lettering was done by Stare, great writer from Montreal known for his innovative and versatile style. Always beautiful work...
