These photos were taken in Deadvlei in Namibia.This place is the remains of a riverbed that was once here, but has dried up, becoming a dry, white place with cracked mud. The trees are 500 years camel thorn trees that are standing here as black silhouettes. When the sun rises behind the huge sand dunes it creates contrast between light and shadow.
