I had already made a post on this mural (Street Art #8 but the city of Montreal has improved the small street where is the mural in a place paying tribute to Joseph-Édouard Guilbault with some pink hippotamuses (which go very well with the mural !).

Buff Monster

Barry McGee, Buff Monster, is an American artist who has begun to be known with his hand-screened posters that he installed all over the streets of Los Angeles. His work is characterized by brightly colored characters, with happy expressions living in pink landscapes.

Joseph-Édouard Guilbault (1803-1885)

Botanist, impresario... It's in this area, at the corner of Avenue des Pins and Boulevard Saint-Laurent, that Joseph-Édouard Guilbault created the first botanical garden in Montreal. In 1862, he invited the circus Hippozoonomadon.
