This sunday, on the Alès Circuit (France), French pilot and triple winner of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Romain Dumas and Volkswagen presented the Volkswagen I.D. R Pikes Peak to the public.
Since Monday on the circuit, Romain Dumas tested this monster, 100% electric car I.D. R Pikes Peak delivering an equivalent of 680 ch thanks to its two electric motors.
Volkswagen wants to break the unlimited record of this race detained by Sébastien Loed and his Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak in 8min13sec878 or at least beat the electric record detained by Rhys Millen with his e0 PP100 in 8min57sec118. Rendez-vous the June 24th.
