This weekend, this splendid 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago will heading to auction through Mecum for about $200,000.
History of Lamborghini Murcielago
Successor to the Diablo, the Murciélago was produced by Lamborghini from 2001 to 2010 and was designed by Luc Donckerwolke, Belgian car designer, Lamborghini's head of design from 1998 to 2005. Just more than 4,000 were produced.
What I like, behind the Lamborghini names is the story. The Murciélago is named after a fighting bull that survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight against Rafael "El Lagartijo" Molina Sánchez, in Córdoba, Spain. And the bull has his life spare and it was the beginning of the famed Miura line of fighting bulls.
