This weekend (June 3rd), at the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance Auction, the Michael Caine's Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit will heading to auction through Bonhams for about $20,000.
I'm not fan of the car but the actor :-) and the price is pretty fair...
History of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit
The Silver Spirit was produced in Crewe (England) from 1980 to 1999, based on the Silver Shadow II. In 1983, this example was purchased new by Sir Michael Caine, that's what makes this car unique ! The story behind this purchase is funny, at 50, Caine finally got his driver's license because the driving instructor was a big fan, he gave him despite Caine still hadn't learned to drive properly.
The Silver Spirit has significant improvements with self leveling rear suspension and a new design with an angular look (I'm not fan of the design but in the 80's it was the style).

Technical specification
Its 6,752 cc OHV V8 engine with Bosch fuel injection and 3 speed automatic transmission delivers 237 hp at 4,000 rpm. The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit has 4 wheel independent suspension with disc brakes.
For the interior, Michael Cane asked a blue leather interior and wool carpets matching with the Ocean Blue painting.
